Plus trails, ponds and a bicycle park for having the best summer ever!

News:

1. Griffin St. Onge returns as the Edge of Walton Camp Manager for the second year! After starting as a junior counsellor probably close to 10 years ago, Griffin is now enrolled in his first year of Teacher's College and recently began reffing OHL games while living in North Bay. We love Griffin at the Edge of Walton and are so excited to have him leading the way through a busy 2025 season.

2. Grand Sparks is a two-day camp this summer! The cost for Grand Sparks has also changed - the fee is per Grandparent/Grandchild pairing instead of individual registrations. Each additional grandchild is $50.

3. Dirt Bike Training camps will be facilitated by Walton Raceway this summer, date(s) TBD.

4. Registration fees increase by $25 per camp on February 3, 2025!

Grand Sparks is a two-day activity day camp that will challenge grandparents to interactive outdoor play and recreation with their grandchildren (ages five and up). The ultimate goal of Grand Sparks is two-fold: 1) motivate older adults to become more active and find a recreational activity that becomes a shared, routine, interactive pastime with youth, and 2) educate and encourage children to make healthy nutritional choices by getting them involved in meal preparation.

Small local businesses and individuals will lead sessions in adventure hiking, canoeing, biking, yoga, and much more. This program will also include having lunch together after a morning of physical activity.

You don't have to officially be a senior, or a grandparent, to participate. You only need to be an older adult bringing a youth partner and lots of sunscreen. Don't worry if you feel you are "out of shape!" We can modify the activities to suit the physical abilities of the participants. The cost is $200 per Grandparent/Grandchild. Each additional grandchild is $50.
